OUR MISSION

One Fish Foundation’s mission is to bring the sustainable seafood conversation into classrooms and communities. We want students, their parents, and others in the community to think consciously about their relationship to seafood as a shared public resource, whether they eat it or not. We want to inspire more people in more communities to have these conversations, and to realize that knowing where their seafood comes from, and the story behind that seafood matters.

When was the last time you could ask the fisherman about the mackerel … while you were eating it? One Fish Foundation’s KNOW FISH Dinners^® are informative, interactive, and delicious dining experiences in which attendees meet the harvester who caught or grew the seafood they’re eating.

One Fish Foundation is a small 501(c)3 nonprofit elevating the conversation about why choosing responsibly harvested seafood matters. Your donations go directly toward classroom education, sustainable seafood dinners, community events, and collaborations with other networks to support community-based seafood supply chains, healthy diets, and a healthy planet.
